Julianne has a passion for nutrition as a tool to improve well being and health, reduce inflammation, and manage appetite.

Julianne’s interest in nutrition was ignited more than 20 years ago when diet changes led to reductions in many niggling health issues related to auto-immune disease and inflammation. This inspired her to retrain as a nutritionist, so she could help others improve their own health through dietary changes. Julianne has carried out postgraduate research on diet and rheumatoid arthritis.

Julianne works with clients over time to make dietary changes in order to reduce inflammation and manage autoimmune disease or control blood glucose in type 2 diabetes. Dietary changes required may be extensive and challenging and it may take several weeks, so support in your journey is paramount. For this reason, a 6-week package is a pre-requisite for working with more complex health issues.

When not head down in her Masters’ research, Julianne can be found at the squat rack at her local gym. Her hobby is powerlifting, and she has competed Nationally and has represented New Zealand in the Masters 3, 52kg class. She holds NZ records in under 57 and under 52kg classes. Julianne has two fantastic websites, Julianne Taylor Nutrition and Paleozone Nutrition.

Her areas of expertise are:

  • Managing metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes

  • Paleo, reduced carbohydrate and low glycaemic load plans

  • Nutrition strategies for managing auto-immune disease and reducing inflammation, including the auto-immune paleo protocol
