NUTRITION CONSULTATIONS

WHAT’S REQUIRE FROM ME IN THE LEAD UP TO AN INITIAL CONSULTATION?

Prior to your appointment, your nutritionist will get in touch to say hi and welcome you to the clinic by email. Then, to help us learn more about you we require everyone to fill in a personal history form. This helps us understand how to best help you and any specific needs we may need to address during your appointment. Our personal history forms can be found at bottom of the page here. We may also require you to fill in a short food diary to help us understand more about your dietary habits - if this is necessary from you, your nutritionist will let you know in advance.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING AN INITIAL CONSULTATION?

We offer initial nutritional consultations to all first timers at the clinic. These run for one hour and during it we will assess your current dietary habits and lifestyle, chat about your health and wellness goals, take any essential measurements if needed or applicable (e.g. height, weight, skin folds…), explore your relationship with food, and educate you on any areas of nutrition we feel necessary. Once we've collected this information we will create you a tailored nutrition plan addressing what was discussed during the consultation. For more information on this head here.

If I book in for an initial consultation and then decide i’d like to do a package, can I include the intial CONSULTATION as a part of the package?

Yes, absolutely! We will just bill you for the difference - easy as (nutritious) pie.

Is there a time frame on my package TO USE UP MY CONSULTATIONS?

No. While we’ve designed our packages to ideally include a fortnightly nutrition consultation with your designated nutritionist, we’re happy for you to space out consultations further if it’ll works best for your schedule or goals.

do you offer online (skype/email) or phone consultations?

Yes to all of the above. We see clients from all over NZ (and as far as Europe if you’re reading this from afar!). For clients who can’t come into the clinic we’re happy to arrange whatever medium of conversation is best suited.

can i bring a family member, friend or support person to my consultation?

Absolutely! While our focus during the session will be on you, we welcome you to bring along someone for support or if you feel they can aid in anyway. If the other individual would like to be included in the consultation personally, we also offer couples consultations - these run exactly like our initial consultations for one, but with a little more time to chat to you both. I’M UNDER 18, CAN I COME SEE YOU?

Yes, we welcome all ages at the clinic. However, if you’re under 18 years of age you are required to have a parent or guardian attend the consultation.

LOGISTICS

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? WHAT IS THE PARKING SITUATION?

We consult out of two clinics:

1) NEWMARKET (OUR FLAGSHIP CLINIC): located on 8 George Street, New Market, 1023, Auckland. George Street is by the domain end of Broadway and Parnell Road.

The entrance to the car park is beside the ACG Parnell College, behind the Parnell Community Trust Library. You can park for free in the car parks labelled ‘RETAIL’. There are also plenty of street parks (however they require payment).

Once parked, walk through the courtyard towards the Foundation on George Cafe. Our clinic is located inside Auckland Physiotherapy, which is within the Foundation Precinct, in the corner between the Foundation on George cafe and Corsa De’ Fiori - you will see the Feel Fresh Nutrition sandwich board, with Auckland Physiotherapy located just behind (to the right) of the sign. 2) BROWNS BAY: Browns Bay Medical Centre, 13-15 Bute Road, Browns Bay, 0630, Auckland.

The clinic is located inside Browns Bay Medical Centre, off Bute Road. You will have no problems trying to find a car park as there is 30 car parks available right outside the building!

Once parked walk through the automatic glass doors and make your way up the stairs. Once upstairs you will find the reception desk to your right, give your name to the receptionist, take a seat and we will be with you as soon as we can. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

do you do refunds on consultations or packages?

We’re committed to providing the highest quality of services and hope you will be satisfied with your consultation. If you felt there was a disservice in anyway, please contact info@feelfreshnutrition.com.

We unfrotunately don’t provide refunds on packages once purchased.

WHAT HAPPENS IF i need to cancel within 24 hours of my nutrition consultation?

Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment incur a 50% penalty fee of your consultations original price.

HEALTH INSURANCE

WHAT IS A REGISTERED NUTRITIONIST?

Professional registration recognises Nutritionists who have obtained relevant academic qualifications and professional work experience within the field of nutrition. The title can only be used by those who have meet these standards, as determined by The Nutrition Society of New Zealand, and comes with a continued commitment to professional development and adherence to the Royal Society of New Zealand Code of Ethics.

IF I WORK WITH A REGISTERED NUTRITIONIST IS MY CONSULT COVERED ON HEALTH INSURANCE?

When you work alongside a Registered Nutritionist your health insurance plan may cover all or some of your appointment cost. Please review your health insurance policy to determine whether you're eligible for cover.
